i thought that it also went into protect if you tried to run it at a lower impedance than 2.
oh well i modded mine as soon as i got it..

They will not go into protect if you run them lower than 1ohm. I had 4 of them, 2 81000s and 2 1501s and have had them running lower than 2ohms constantly. They do get hot as hell though. Heck of an amp, my last one was stolen in May. I miss my baby. Bump for a solid amp.

yes if u mod it you can run it .5 ohm all day as long as u have the battery power to back it up and it puts out ALOT of power. never actually clamped mine but its no joke. well worth 250!!

hey was going thru here tryin to mod my 1501d. was not sure what clamping is tho u said never actually clamped mine... whats clamped mean?
