1100x1 @ 1 ohm

HP/LP crossover, subsonic filter

6.5" x 2" x 22.5"

Condition/Description/Other Information:

Monster power in a relatively small package.

Works perfectly, had an issue with the RCA's but that has been fixed.

Cosmetically 6/10, has some scratches and a gouge on the cover, but none of it affects performance.

Comes with approx. 21 months left on a transferable SquareTrade warranty. If something happens to it, they will either get it fixed or give $$ to replace.

I do have a bridging module, but the neg wire is fried. I'm sure it could be opened up and a new wire soldered onto the board and it would work fine. If you want I could repair it after the sale.

What exactly does the bridging module do? I see the amp only has one sub input so I'm assuming it bridged the RCA inputs into a mono signal. If you had a head unit or processor that had a mono output could you just use one side of the RCA's instead of the module?

I had the same question, and finally called Memphis to talk to them about it. Here's what they told me...

The main purpose of the bridging module with a single amp is to boost the input voltage from the RCA's, and to give you the ability to change phase 180 degrees to the subs by using either the right or left output of the bridging module.

It provides a summed mono signal to the amp.

It CAN be used without it. The front & back channels will distribute signal to the sub channel if the input on the sub RCA is not present. Basically, you don't need it.

The downfall to not using it is that the input voltage is lower (meaning, for a specific gain setting for the sub channel, output will be less if the module is not used. Without the module, the gain just needs to be set a bit higher to achieve the same output.), and you will not have sub control from the head unit.

Long answer, but in essence, it is not required, but is useful for greater control.

As long as you have a head unit or processor that can provide a true summed mono signal, you should be OK.
