why not just ad a turbo and suspension upgrades to the 3 you have now. It already looks really nice and you woulod probably get an all-around better car for around the same money with well-selected aftermarket parts.

Of course there can be problems, but with good parts and the right installers, I think the payoff would be worth the risk. But to each his own.

It would be a ton more to tune it to the specs of a Mazdaspeed 3, as he said. Parts are expensive, and so is tuning. Turbo kits usually run anywhere from 3-6k depending on the car. It would need to be installed, and tuned. ****, the tuning units itself normally run from $500-1k, without the time/money spent actually tuning the thing. Plus you'd have to worry about reliability, and killing the transmission much faster if it is not a manual tranny. I recently got to drive my friends brand new Mazdaspeed 6. Fun car... good luck with the 3.

There's around a $10k difference between what he's asking and what a stock Speed3 costs. Add in all the extras he already has (wheels, steeo, etc.) and it would cost him more to switch cars
