Up for grabs is my 8" Dual 2 ohm True Bass sub that I bought from Audio_Phill a while back. It's got roughly 2 hours of playtime on it at ~400 watts. It's rated for 300 watts RMS, but I've heard of people giving them up to 700 watts daily.
It gets loud and sounds pretty good doing it. IMO, they sound better than other output oriented 8's that I've heard, including the DD 1508 and AQ Street Duty 8. Maybe not as loud, but it's a good SQL driver. Put it in a nice .7-.9 cube box tuned to 33 hz and you've got yourself a nice sub for a secondary ride/space conscious build.
I'd give it an 8.5/10 visually, mainly because of some scuffing on the paint around the basket spokes, but I'm also a bit more discerning than others may be. This sub actually had a custom dustcap tooled. They normally have a red logo on a black dustcap, but this one has a red logo on a white dustcap.
I'm not very good at describing products, so I take more pictures than necessary //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
You can see the date of manufacture (Sept. 2009) and the model number (822) here.
A pic of the scuffing I described before, it's like this on every spoke.
Here are the T/S parameters pre break-in for this particular sub:
Re = 3.5818 ohms
Fs = 41.2453 Hz
Zmax = 49.5266 ohms
Qes = 0.4122
Qms = 5.2879
Qts = 0.3824
Le = 2.2514 mH (at 1 kHz)
Diam = 155.5750 mm ( 6.1250 in )
Sd =19009.4467 mm^2( 29.4647 in^2)
Vas = 7.5942 L ( 0.2682 ft^3)
BL = 15.0543 N/A
Mms = 100.6495 g
Cms = 147.9377 uM/N
Kms = 6759.6040 N/M
Rms = 4.9327 R mechanical
Efficiency = 0.1215 %
Sensitivity= 82.8622 dB @1W/1m
Sensitivity= 86.3521 dB @2.83Vrms/1m
And here's a set of fully broken-in T/S parameters from a random true bass 8:
Re = 3.4298 ohms
Fs = 37.3410 Hz
Zmax = 46.4751 ohms
Qes = 0.3413

Diam = 155.0000 mm ( 6.1024 in )
Sd =18869.1914 mm^2( 29.2473 in^2)
Vas = 10.5085 L ( 0.3711 ft^3)
BL = 14.3582 N/A
Mms = 87.4380 g
Cms = 207.7628 uM/N
Kms = 4813.1816 N/M
Rms = 4.7893 R mechanical
Efficiency = 0.1506 %
Sensitivity= 83.7971 dB @1W/1m
Sensitivity= 87.4753 dB @2.83Vrms/1m
I'm looking for 60 bucks shipped anywhere in the Continental U.S. It will ship in the original True Bass box.
I will also trade for a pair of Tang Band bamboo cone mids (linky) or a 3-way electronic crossover.
If you have any other offers or other questions, feel free to PM me, or email me at modskwod@gmail.com . That being said, I have no particular need to sell this, so if I don't feel satisfied with the offers I get, I'll probably just keep it and put it in a different vehicle.
Thanks!
