Still considering it, but the mobo only has 2 ram slots when I've got 4 x 2gb that I need to use. I could always buy another mobo though.

Good price regardless. But, I'm new to building from scratch so... retail key means what exactly? You can't format and reinstall?

You can reinstall as many times as you need. You can also move from computer to computer.

depending on what you're using it for, 8GB is kind of over kill. This is encodes 1080p video quite well as is. Not quite as fast as my quad/8 gigs, but its pretty fast.

Hmmm... I could always put the 8 in my wife's computer and put this 64 bit edition on it, and put the 32 bit OS on this one with 4gb. Install disks included?

I don't have the retail disc as it's mia. I have the back-up and guarantee the key is only on this computer. It can be re-installed without a problem.....

Your 32-bit key should work w/ both x64 and x86 Vista. I would recommend running X64 on both as its noticeably faster.
