Hi,

I'm selling my 2 channel Focal amplifier, model number FP 2.150.

Power output is:

150 watts x 2 @ 4ohm

200 watts x 2 @ 2ohm

400 watts x 1 @ 4ohm bridged

Frequency response is:

10Hz - 35kHz

I bought it to replace my Apline PDX and the sound quality difference is simply amazing! This amp sounds super clean. The bass is tight and controlled and the highs are audiophile grade.

Only downside is the (very trustworthy) person I bought it from brand new was not yet a Focal dealer at the time so the serial number isn't on the amp or the spec sheet.

I used this amp very happily for about 1 year to power my Dynaudio front speakers but am now returning the car to the Mazda dealership.

It is in excellent condition as you can see in the pics and in perfect working order.

I'm asking only $400 shipped to the 48 states.

Thanks,

Fil

well now's your chance //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

it's a good price isn't it?

lots of people are asking me if this amp is better than a PDX

here's my answer:

"Basically, the highs are sweeter and less digital sounding...the bass is crisper and less boomy...the soundstage is deeper and more dimensional and less flat sounding or veiled.

It does everything that an audiophile amp is supposed to do to differenciate itself from the pack.

And with 150 watts to each channel you never have to worry about straining the speakers and having the tweeters go into protection when you play it loud (as opposed to a 75 watt per channel amp where your tweeters are clipping all the time at high volume levels).

I switched from a PDX 4 channel to this Focal and it was night and day.

Plus, I'm pretty sure that Class A-B (Focal) is far superior to Class D (PDX) in plaing mids and highs no matter how you look at it."

and here's someone else's opinion from another post:

"the Focal amps have exceptional sound quality.

The Alpine PDX amps are mostly class D amps. IMO, they aren't in the same relm."
