I recently sold my truck and have decided to start from scratch with a new system for next vehicle and now the system needs to go.
Eclipse AV8533 - $1100 - 7" touchscreen DVD/CD/MP3/DVD-A, 8v preouts, Time Alignment, Parametric EQ, Dolby Digital 5.1 processing. Google it, it has WAY too many features to list.
Max Fi 3 way set (read Dynaudio) would prefer not to seperate - $400 - These are almost identical to the Dynaudio drivers. They utilize the same baskets, 3" voice coils and have a strikingly similar sound to the Dyn's. Sitting next to each other, you couldn't tell a difference. Word is, they bought up all the extra Dyn parts when they got out of the DIY scene and restamped their name on the basket. The only difference as far as the mids go is they're a little more sensetive and don't need quite as much power to get them singing. The tweets I like a little better than the MD100's. They have a little bit more detail than the Dyn's while still being incredibly smooth. I wish I still had these setup for a demo, they are truly incredible, probably one of the best sets I've ever head, but I have to go with brand loyalty this time. The set includes 2 - 7" midbass (dyn MW170) , 2 - 5" mids (dyn MW150) and 2 - 1" silk tweets (Dyn MD100). There are no crossovers in this set. I had these running fully active with amps below. Passive xo's can be built, but the control you get with going active is well worth it.
2 x Kicker SX650.4 - $325/ea - Incredible amps. Both benched ~100w x 4 RMS. These have the bad *** 32 bit DSP which offers fully adjustable slope/point xovers per pair of channels, parametric EQ, You can also flip phase and adjust gain per channel. Very cool amps, digital display, can be programmed to scroll whatever text you wish. Google these as well, there's a ton of info on them
Illusion Audio ND12 - $225 - One of the premier sound quality subs out there and all with a mounting depth of 3". Very cool looking subs with magnets mounted in front of the cone. This is another google one, way too hard to explain.
