It only takes me about a half hour from start to finish to burn a DVD on my Athalon 3800 with DVD Shrink. What program are you using?

dvdshrink as well

i am encoding it with the deep analyze and adaptive error comp on to keep as much quality as possible so that takes more time. it also depends on how much compression i use.

i reauthor it and only encode the main movie taking out most of the credits as well and shrink it to about 2.5gb's for a 2 hour long movie.

they are just backups on my server so i can stream them over the network and play them anywhere in the house. these are movies i own so i dont need all the extras and menus, if i want to see that stuff i just pop the original dvd in the player.

FWIW I just encoded E.T. which is a 2 hour movie and it took 23 minutes and 17 seconds on my laptop with the 2.4ghz Athlon it would have taken close to an hour using the same setting
