SOLD....THANKS>>>>>

OK boys and girls here is a set of speakers that I bought for a rear stage that after I finally got my system in and half way installed correctly figured out that I don't need them...thus someones fortune to save some money.

I am the original owner and bought them from CDT direct. They were "B" Stock...and purchased them for 165.00. The ONLY mark I see on them is on the back of one of the tweeters (metal base back). The mids look perfect.

They have never been installed or powered up.

Model: CL-E61CV

2-way 6.5" Convertible Speaker system

Mid: 6.5" Cast Frame - Carbon Treated paper cone

Xover: SatNet-450

Tweeter: 3/4" TW-19 Silk Dome Tweeter

Power Handling: 110Watt RMS (100Hz high pass)

Frequency Response: 65 ~ 20 kHz

Impedance: 4 Ohms

Sensitivity: 90.6 dB

Tweeter Surface & flush mounts including post for coaxial mounted tweeter

Mounting Depth: 2.75

They came with: SAT NET 456a Crossovers

Here are the poop sheets:

AND

It will come with all the "stuff" that came in the box: Paperwork, tweeter adapters and mounting hardware.

All this for 115.00 SHIPPED...which right now will probably FEDEX Ground, they seem to be the cheapest.

My refs are over on DIY as same...

PLEASE PM ME HERE...I will use that for first come first serve.

And as always thanks for looking.

I don't know a thing about CDT (I've never seen this stuff in Canada). I am looking for a good sounding set of Comps for cheap. I am assuming since you were going to put these in the rear of the vehicle, that they aren't the SQ you would want for a front stage.

Does anyone have any input on these speakers?

I ran a set of these in cdt's braxial configuration (tweets mounted on a bridge on the mid) and they sounded awesome in a well deadened door. I'm actually thinking about ditching my boston pro 60's for a set of these again.

Were the ones you ran this particular model?

I ran them for years, yes the ef's61's. They are nice sounding speakers. I really like the mid range reproduction on them. And I never noticed any audible distortion, ever.

They were this model only with the aluminum tweet instead of the silk. Had them on an opti 200.2 and they got plenty loud and sounded good.

Holy, that is conciderably more power than I'm running. I will have to do some research to see how these guys would do with my amp. I am going to be running them off my PG Xenon 100.4.

Also, a bit of a newbie question, but most guys like the soft sound of silk tweets rather than the "harshness" of aluminum, don't they? It makes sense to me.

Actually the opti 200.2 was only rated at 100x2. With that power they got plenty loud and could have taken more. I ran the aluminum tweet as they were mounted on the mid way down low in my doors. Mounted higher silk would be nice.

I ran mine at roughly 125rms. It was plenty.

That may depend on the particular alum tweet as well as whether you have any real processing ability to tone the tweet down.

But in general I prefer a silk personally.

I also had those same one's, and I loved them. I ran about 100w rms to them and the were definitely pleasant to the ear.

I'm sorry Duckman, I hope you don't concider this post jackin, I'm just trying to make an educated decision. Especially since it will cost me a small fortune to ship these things to Canada.

Have either of you guys heard these compared to the RSD's. A guy can get a brand new set of RSD's off Ebay for under $80.

Can you compare the two speakers?

Thanks
