Up for sale is a blown hifonics xxv thor, just went into protect one day, wasnt even bumping hard //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I got a quote from Chris at db-r and he said it would cost anywhere from between 200-300 too fix depending on what was wrong with it.

here is exactly what he told me

Rebuild power supply: $200

Rebuild output and replace driver board: $225

Rebuild power supply, output, and replace driver board: $300

But he wouldn't know what was wrong with it until he actually looked at it.

nope was quoted up to $500 to fix it...plus like shipping fees..its like this guy can say what he wants to fix it and name his price and i have to pay it....that and turn around time...

With Class-D amps it is rarely if ever just a single MOSFET replacement and go with it.

I know that when Chris does it he changes them all out in case others were weakened in the failure (likely) - thats the only way to do it reliably.

Generally takes out some other things when the power supply fails. You also get a full inspection, load test, etc from Chris as well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
