The HDC3's use a 3" 8 layer coil which can handle around 2500w with no issues. The sub will sound decent at any power level, but how loud you are looking for is a different question

Thanks, appreciate the heads up. I see all these big *** subs on here like these and have to think they're pretty much for SPL right? Or is there some of that get loud and have good SQ as well at say 750-1000 watts? I like loud don't get me wrong. For my own purposes though I don't think I'd have to go above 1000 watts or so.
