yeah the rx is indeed a sub and half if not more. my buddy has one in a newer 4 runner feeding it around 700 watts and it sounds amazing. it has the speed and accuracy of my old alchemy but with way more power handling and that extra oomph that so many desire

BTW, this is the SQ version of the RX model as I have just learned. Specs are pretty similar on the two, but this version as twice the Vas than the SPL version - for small sealed enclosures. Here is the mini manual on it: http://www.alumapro.com/docs/alchemy_rx_12sq.pdf
