Hello,
I'm a new member here. I joined just to contact you Don.
I am a retired guy who knows absolutely nothin about car speakers or their installation.
Your name came across in my frustrating efforts to find Rainbow car speakers in the USA. Your name was highly recommended by a poster called gr1m on
http://www.mp3car.com forum as a seller of Rainbow car speakers.
If you can be of any help Don I sure would appreciate it.
I was looking at the Rainbow Profi Vanadium Line speakers as a possibility.
For starters I drive a 2000 Toyota Camry LE.
I am not even sure what size speakers are in my Toyota. The radio and speakers are still the factory installed ones.
I would need your help in getting the right speakers - for rear of car and side doors - I know tweeters come with the set of Rainbow speakers,
but I am assuming I need additional speakers for the side doors. I do not need an extra subwoofer. I am not into booming bass sounds. I prefer classical, jazz, acoustic, big band, instrumental sounds.
In addition what other mounting hardware, speaker baffles, etc. would be needed for the proper installation in my 2000 Toyota Camry LE.
Also, do I need an amplifer for the speakers ? I am also going to update my car radio. Not sure what to get yet. If you have a recommendation that wouldl be
appreciated as well. I just want a good solid sound without a lot of doo-dads like gsp and lcd monitors. A radio with sensitive reception and iTouch input is a must.
I realize I am asking for a lot of assistance. I do appreciate your time and any help you can provide.
Thank you so much,
Pete Gerum I am presently in Belgium / Germany. I am returning to the states in July 2009. Would it be more advantageous to get the Profi Line speakers over here (if I can find them) and bring them back to the states ? My problem is that I have no idea of what extra hardware stuff (speaker baffles etc.) I need to install the Rainbows. I'll buy them from you if you can get a hold of them.
Thanks again. Do I have the record for longest first post ?
my email is
