Hi, I’ve just registered here. Back in 2003 when I spent 3+ hours a day in the car commuting I invested in a nice car system. I moved into Boston so my commute is now 12 minutes. Shortly after moving to Boston the Head unit was stolen //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif (The idiots should have looked in the back). Since my commute is 12 minutes having such an elaborate system seems to be a waste. So I am looking to sell the components instead of replacing the head unit.
I forget exactly what I paid for all of it, but I remember it wasn’t cheap.
So here is the first item.
An ADS Powerplate P650.2 Amplifier. This is a configurable audiophile quality 6-channel amp. High current design. I’ve been an audiophile for years and this is the amp that everyone said to get based upon its sound quality. I ran 4x50 into four ADS two-way speakers and bridged the last two channels (150 watts) for my JL Stealth box subwoofer (There will be another ad for the JL). This amp has great tone and resolution, and plenty of power for all but the extreme headbangers. It was professionally installed and it has performed flawlessly for the last three years.
The amp was mounted on the back of the rear seats. Never ever got wet. It does show normal signs of being in a car that is used. I have the original box and manual (so it’s not stolen). All of the plugs are supplied. I will double box (Factory box surrounded by peanuts in a bigger box). I’m asking $450 OBO including CONUS shipping.
I have no feedback here but I have good feedback on Audiogon and ebay user name Hispeedbusa. I take Paypal (Confirmed address only) and cashiers check or US postal money order. No C.O.D.’s I have a policy of exchanging info (Addresses and phone numbers) with buyers (It makes everyone feel more secure) so if you object to this don’t waste your time or mine.
