Item(s) for Sale:

Powerbass xta-4000d

Item(s) Description/Condition:

First of all, this is a VERY stout amp that does rated power. (and sorry for the crappy pics)...

The amp was sold to me by cwill5 - and it was broken when I received it. (aaaargh!). But that's another story altogether...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rage.gif.0ad8a6e5565b5fddce406566fdd05149.gif He said that he had it mounted on his enclosure. The vibration rattled those big donut-shaped inductors on the output side loose and the amp needed repair. I had it professionally repaired at Ace Audio Repair in Warren, Mi. They did a great job of repairing the amp and even re-soldered the ground to help maintain reliability. It cost me $130 to have it fixed.

The amp is working perfectly now (10/10), and cosmetically I'd say it's a 7.5 or 8/10.

If a amps been repaired its not really 10/10 anymore. Just my opinion have had bsd luck with repaired amps.
Well... the shop that did the repair is pretty reputable. I'd have no reason to assume that they didn't fix it correctly. But I certainly understand your apprehension.

i agree 100% with what you said
Me too...

2 powerbass xa 3k's 1 working one blown plus cash on your end ?
That sounds decent except I'd have no use for the blown one at all...let me consider a counter-offer. Maybe your working amp plus cash on your end?

i have a old style Memphis Mojo 4KW id be willing to trade
Hmmm... that's a definite "maybe". Send me some pics/condition, etc.

Just to clear my name since the op has put misleading information out there. I sold this amp to the op in working condition on my end!!!!! I am not denying that the amp was mounted to an enclosure but it was mounted in a way that would brace the rack and minimize rattle. Also the amp was mounted for a 2-3 days at the most. About two days after the op received the amp he texted me to inform me that the amp was working awesome and that he was impressed with the amp. Then the next day he text me to say that the amp is working intermittently. After taking the amp apart he tells me he sees a possible cause of the problem. I said the cause of the problem could be due to harsh shipping. He even agreed with me. After trying to figure out some resolutions to resolve the problem we agreed that I would refund him enough money to pay for him to bring it to a nearby friend to get it resoldered. I offered for him to send it back to me and that I would get it repaired at a local shop that I work with and he did not want to do that. Just want to clear this up but the amp was not bad when I shipped it and was not DOA when you received it.
