How close would these be to an Optima Yellow top? Could these work as the main batt?

Close as far as CCA but they have a lower Ah, they discharge faster then the yellow top. Yes they can work as a main battery, but if you are looking to run it as a main battery I would suggest going with the Batcap 2000 instead. The Batcap 2000 is equivalent to 2.5 Batcap 800's.
