The Dayton DVC is a well balanced subwoofer. Gets very loud while maintaining SQ. The best 15" SQL subwoofer I have owned (slightly edges the Ascendant Audio Atlas).

600 watts RMS (can handle much more!)

8 ohm DVC (which will give you a 4 ohm impedance)

Frequency range: 20-450 Hz

Fs: 20.4 Hz (for those who love deep bass!)

SPL: 90 dB 1W/1m (very efficient!)

Xmax: 15.1mm

Mounting Depth: 7-3/8"

As you can see the Dayton DVC resembles the Tempest. A great advantage that the DVC has over he Tempest is its push terminals!

The Dayton gets very loud and goes lower than any subwoofer I have owned. The SQ is amazing as well!

.....graphed on WINISD the Dayton had better numbers than the Tempest (SPL especially)
