No its more closer to a 9515f minus the top plate cooling. They are both great subs. I couldnt tell ya which is better.

These are great subs. I had 3k on mine and it didnt even get hot. Wont find a better sub for the money...

Ya these are all american made.... The New HDC3 are made in china but if u get the aluminum coil that is built in the USA,,, This sub has the same Soft parts as a DD 9500... Cone, Coil and spiders... all the same... The motor is very close also...
