Well I don't know what you would want me to call these since they are regarded to be a midbass on the SS website and it is printed in the manual as well...

I have a hard time calling those midbass capable, their fs is way too high, and the surround is the same exact kind used on super loud midranges, they don't yield much mechanical capability at all.

The manual and description soundstream IMO is quite misleading. just saying, not trying to post dump. :/
