From Incriminator LI 12 to Eclipse TI...Upgrade or downgrade?

I have not really kept up with caraudio for the last couple years, but remember the old TI to be beast. During that time I did not have the funds to try one. I grabbed a 12 LI during a holiday special 1 year ago, and have been happy with it since. But now I have extra funds to play with, so was thinking about going old school and trying this or one of the overhyped oldschool subs (idmax, brahma,hx2,rexxx, magnum, evo mass...). Or is the newer gear much better that I should not even go back in time? I just get the nostalgic feeling whenever I see the eclipse ti lol.

I have a sealed box about 1.4 cu ft, and just recently went to a ported box 2.5cu ft around 36 hz tuning(will probably find some way to lower tuning soon). I have about 800 watts on tap.

Listen to alot of hiphop/rap.

I wouldn't bother changing it up if you're not going to add more power cone area. If output is your goal, that is.

I just got a ti 15 and it's LOUD. but I also found out it needs a pretty big box ported.

I love the look of the cone on the Ti subs. I have a set of PG Ti 12's and love them. The Eclipse version is even better in some ways.

As far as it being worth the upgrade? I guess it depends on cosmetics more than actual sound/db change, I think the Eclipse would be better for SQ.
