Hey i been reading all the buzz bout these audioques and was wondering would it be worth to pull out my 15" re sx and drop in a Hd3c?? would i notice a significant difference between the two subs..currently im running my sx on about 1300 watts or so @ 2 ohms...(i have a dual 4 ohm sub) if i get a dual 2 ohm hd3c i can run about 1700 watts to it..it would be goin into a chambered transmission line.. im gettin the itch to just switch out subs..You know how it is.. you get something to sound good then you wanna switch.. anyways i noticed the mounting depth on the Audioque isnt much more than the Sx..My box wont allow for much more than 9 inches of depth..if the audioque isnt worth the switch..what would and still fit within that mounting depth?

if u have the right box for optimal output for the hd

i would go with that

but from what i read they do well with lots of power

so if ur driver is more geared to max out around ur power u should stick with it

the HD will be louder with 1700 than the SX with 1300 thats for sure...

Ever tried ncreasing the power to the SX? I ran two Kicker SX1250's on a single SX 15, kinda nice... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Polo..

the 1300 watts seems good for the sub....i really wouldnt want to put much more on it since Ive gotten this t-line the sub seems to be doing alot better with the 1300 watts and moving near max excursion, unless i build a new box im gonna need to find a sub with a depth of less than 9 in... any ideas?...only thing i can think of is an o5 xxx

For the price... Ive ran both of them the Sx's and a Hc3's im hear to tell you that the C3 will out bang a SX anyday.... 1300 ,,1700,, 2000 ect... Ive tested both drivers in many different enclosures on different power.... Ill back that up...

oo. i like those treo ssx's..handle alot of power and dont have a rediculous mounting depth either..4 inch coils?? anyways how about those.. and I see the rms on those is 2500 for the 15" so i guess 1700 watts wouldnt do it any justice?

Actually 1700 is fine, it is a dual 1 ohm good for like a ZX 2500 or similar. I have had this sub since new in 06, most durable sub. It has a few scuff on the basket/motor area only from mounting from box to box but the cone/surround is perfect. I paid almost $800 for it if anyone knows how much they went for but I would like to get $300 in my pocket so say $300 plus actual shipping. I have the original treo double pack box so it will be safe. If you know anyone who could use one hit me up, want it to go to a good home //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Polo..

IMO a TRUE 1700 watts (like you would get 90% of the time running a 2500w or a similar amp) is good for the hdc. it can take quite a bit more for sure though.

but if you're just going to put a 1700w rated amp on it, id stick with the sx.

i have used both drivers, unfortunately, the sx's were a couple years ago, while the HDC is right now lol

Not sure if you intrested in this or not but i just sold my lincoln LS and have a practically brand new 260 amp iraggi alt that i will sell for really cheap since i have no use for it anymore it should help you power that new sub pretty **** good.
