He and I go pretty far back. We were best friends from about 8th grade until high school when he got into serious trouble with drugs. We kept in touch but I chose not to hang around so much since my family has had a lot of issues with drug abuse in the past. His mom, who had been sick for years, couldn't walk, and everyone kind of "expected" her to pass away at anytime. However, in 10th grade his dad was diagnosed with cancer and died a few months later. Then his mom passed away within a year. Everyone assumed it was just too hard on her and she just kind of gave up. He inherited a lot of money but would up blowing it all on drugs (cocaine, pot, meth, etc). Last night our mutual friend called me and told me he had passed away at 1pm yesterday afternoon. They found large amounts of methodone in his body apparently. He was 23 years old. The viewing is tomorrow night and funeral is on Monday.

In all seriousness, that sucks ***.And I am truly sorry to hear that.My condolences and prayers go out to any remaining family, and I guess his friends (true friends).

Drugs can really **** you up.

Regal is retarded.....

Sorry to hear about his passing. I hate drugs because I've seen what they can do to people, and am currently seeing one of my good friends since the 3rd grade caught up in meth. Everyday he calls me and asks the same shit. I feel bad about it, but people make mistakes, and while I think they did it to themselves, at the same time, they never intended for it to go as far as it did. Keep your head up, sorry to hear about him.

Sorry to read about that, but drugs are bad m'kay?

I know what this is like.....

Yep sucks when people that are close to die from frequent drug use. I mean he was 23, so he must have been doing some heavy shit and doing a lot of it. My best friend is also an advid drug addict and it pisses me off. He knows how bad it is for him and he has quit many a times, but always goes right back to it when something bad happens or he cant take the stress. I try not to give up on him and I am always there when he wants to talk, but I just dont see much of him anymore. Kinda sad really as he has been my best bud since like 1st grade. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I know one day I will be writing about him in here and attending his funeral way before it was his time to go.

Sorry for you friend and my condolences go out to you and his family.

Sorry about your loss. The best friend I ever had is a vegetable now, they brought him back but he's all messed up they said he's another schivo case. It's been over a year now since it's happened to him, totally sucks.

lol... wow.

i agree with nG on one hand, but i've known people... hell, i'm thinking of one of 'em that i know right now... that get caught up in drugs and... for whatever reason, they aren't strong enough to pull themselves out of the hole they've dug. It IS their fault, but the situation is still a sad one... i do feel compassion for these people, their families and their friends, even if the situation is their fault...

for example, i knew a kid that was trying to impress his lil brother by doing 90 through their nice gated neighborhood with winding streets. He wasn't much of an auto-xer. lost control through a moderate turn (probably started to understeer accidentally, panicked, braked too hard and over-corrected) and hit a tree. he walked away... his brother died...

i felt bad for him (even though the entire thing was his fault and there were plenty of ways to avoid what happened) because now he's gotta live with having killed his brother.

sucks.
