Well I was driving along today when all the sudden my subs start sounding all eratic. So I quickly turn off the radio and look back to see smoke rolling out of the sides of my amp. I took off the cover to find that two of these....

are burnt.

What are these?? Can I buy them somewhere and fix the amp or would I be better off just to get a whole new amp. Thanks.

Richie

I found the same mosfets on ebay that are in it so should I get those and put them in and see if it works or is there anything else that could be fried that I should replace also. Thanks for the help.

Replacing the FETs may not fix your amp and you may just fry them again. To properly repair the amp you need an oscilloscope to trace the signal to see if any other components were damaged as well. Of course... you can try replacing the FETs as it might work, but be advised that it may not solve your problem.

I have a 2400db as well. but in my case, i was driving down the road and just all of a sudden my subs stoped working. not like they were blown and making a weird noise, just compleatly stopped. but my power light on the amp is still lit. and suggestions ?
