trust me bro... as pissed as i am about that, the groan is the least of my worries

let's list out some questions guys... just lost like 10 questions that i had already answered... here's what i've got so far

My subwoofer is rated at xxx watts rms & xxx watts peak, how much power should i give it?

What impedance should i run my system at?

How do i wire my subs to a different impedance?

Why is setting my gains properly so important?

I set my gains by ear because blah blah blah/ How do i set my gains properly?

What is the big 3, how do i do it, and why is it so important?

Now i'm having problems remembering the other questions i had on there... throw some more out there ( i'm trying to make this thread very general, so that it is useful in as many situations as possible)

The subwoofers rms should be the max given to a sub for constant use unless other wise told so.
Subwoofer wiring just link up the 12volt
I hate it when retail brands list the subs max in general because thats what stirs these stupid questions like "If sub x puts out x watts max, then should my amp be twice as much to make it twice as loud"

those are the questions i'm already answering... reason i listed them is so you guys could see what i was already answering and add other questions you can think of

I was just thinking about this this morning. You beat me to it. Sweet!

You should put a list of details to include when asking for advice. Budget, goals, type of car, space to be used for box, can they install/build it. What they have currently. I now I am missing a lot of items, but you get the idea.
