Hey, just wondering how different intstruments are usually placed in the frequency range? I know everything's not going to be the same in every recording, but a general range would be nice to know. I found that with my subwoofer, I was expecting to feel more bass guitar, but the kick kind of dominates that. I guess I never really thought about it, but most bass notes must be above my low-pass filter. For instance, the beginning bass line of Billy Jean has some notes that the sub plays, and some that the speakers will, so it sounds pretty weird. I think I'm just lacking in mid-bass.
