When generating tones:

Amplitude 1.0 is -0 dB.

Amplitude 0.75 is -3 dB.

Amplitude 0.5 is -6dB.

Amplitude 0.25 is -9dB, and perfect for 10/1 gain settings.

Amplitude 0 is -12dB.

Can someone confirm this? I figure it beats drawing Jmac's bandwidth with bittorrent MP3s and WAVs.

Update: Using Jmac's -0 and -3 test tones. I confirmed that this app is accurate. It's nice to know there are free apps for making test tones without the worry about them all being -12dB. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

EDIT: DBfan, as a dial up user, I look to accomplish something with the greatest quality to bandwidth ratio. It was less than a 2 meg download, and it makes CD quality sines. *shrugs*

I zipped it into a 10MB folder, unzipped it is 192MB.
