Free amp worth using?

ok my sister wants her car to sound better and a little louder, no subs, nothing special, next to no money involved in it, she got Rockford Punch 6x9's and pioner 4x6 3 or 4 ways for the front (with her discount it was like 35 for all 4 speakers, and I just got an amp from one of my buddies, its a "Pyramid PB-230PX 300 Watt 4 channel" would it even be worth puting in her car? I know its ghetto but still worth it? Will it make it alittle clearer and a little louder? Also the only adjustment on the amp is Level for frount and back.... any info would be great, thanks

Go for it.... You can always get a new amp later on and you wont have to run wires agian.

thats part of the problem, she wont buy a different amp to run them, this one just happened to be free, will this improve SQ or make it go louder as aposed to running them just off the head unit?

Hey!

well what is the rms rating on those speakers? if they correspond with the amp then go for it!. most aftermarket speakers are power hungary. (i recently learned external amp > HU internal amp.) besides it won't hurt to just install it and try it out yourself.

I think anything is better than the internal amlifier in the HU.
