so i have an 08 scion xb...

system

h/u kenwood dnx7100

door spekers... crossfire x6's in the front and back doors

alpine v12 600w 4 channel amp

it's not enough for those speakers.. what will push them better?

subs

2 alpine type r 12's

amps

2 600w v12 amps

the whole car is dynamated and it sounds nice.

im board with the type r's. they are loud but they hardly hit any notes... especially low notes. im using a sealed box. i listen to rap and metal equally.

so i guess the question is, were do i go now? do i build a ported box? do i get new subs? do i get a new amp and run the same subs? WTF do i do to get some better sound?

i don't want to spend a million dollars but i'm about at that point.. soooo yeah

Keep the amps.

Take out the rear speakers.

Bridge the amp to a 2ch for the fronts.

Build a ported box...or get new subs.

I would try a ported box first as that is cheaper. See if you like it, if not sell the subs and box together and start over. Looking for better sound? What are the specs on the amps? Model numbers?

if your system was set up correctly it should be ok.

who set it up? wheres x over points and is phase correct?

Definitely go ported with the R's... And those things want more power than 600w
