One thing to keep in mind about frats is that they are VERY diverse. Of course there is the stereotype of collar popping **** just out to get ass and be wasted, and yes, some guys like that are in frats, but guys like that are NOT in frats too. You really cant lump us all together like that. Frats are a group of guys who like getting involved in the community and their school, not unlike any other club on campus when you break it down. Its fine if you dont like frats, I dont like corduroy pants, but atleast give them a shot. I've found most people who rip on frats are those who havent even been to them besides to party.

You make me laugh. I will have more connections for the rest of my life then you EVER will. My parents were happy when I joined a fraternity, they actually pay my dues for it. And what is a cirriculum exactly? is that like a circumcision?

I meant it was a bad assumption to assume that just because you're in a frat, you automatically will make more connections than he could. I am not in a frat but I love going to frat party's. Their is a lot of open party's at the frats so I don't see a real need to join. The friends I know in frats joined to meet new people but all you have to do is live in the dorms and walk around drunk to meet new people //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.. I don't look down on anyone in a frat though because I am sure they are living it up in the frat house..

There is sooooo much more to fraternity life than parties and meeting new people. As you said, if that were it, there would be no reason to join.

My fraternity life ****** cause of a house of redneck buttheads. then I got a real scholarship to a real university and things were lookin up. Until the school got into trouble for buying their football teams. Then they all said if you are "this fraternity" then in the Dallas area, you will have no problem finding a job cause our brothers are all over. After I exhausted all the job opps in Dallas, I moved back to Oklahoma, applied at the first place, and got hired..and guess what? He was a brother from an Ivy League school. Weird.

anyway...AEKDB to all you out there who know what that means.
