Fox acoustics and subthump

these are my last two opinions for an enclosure for my truck. every designer that I contacted told me they don't design enclosures for trucks anymore. so which of these two is better?

I ran a subthump box in a 01 Silverado. Had two 12's down firing. It sounded ok .... sealed box. It seemed well constructed.

Depends if you want a mildly high tuned ported box or a good sealed box. My sub thump box had enough airspace to allow my 10s to dig deep which the same subs in the fox box wouldn't dig that deep but would be louder at higher frequencies

if you wanted to go ported then fox acoustics all the way. also depends on sub etc and the fox acoustics boxes have a little more airspace. i loved the fox box i put in my ram

I ordered the ported box for two tens from fox acoustics last year. I had a number of gripes. First it took 2 1/2 months for me to get my box this was after numerous unanswered emails. When the box finally did arrive I inspected it and discover that there was an 1/8 inch gap that I could see daylight through I ended up spending a couple hours running a bead if silicone on the inside of the box to get it sealed. One other thing that wasn't that big of a concern for me but might be for you is the box actually will stick out about an inch in front of the seat and with the spray liner finish on the box it is very uncomfortable for backseat passengers. I'm lifting my back seat now and have just finished building a pretty simple 1.25 per sub enclosure with approx 8" mounting depth when I get done I will either post or send you pics.
