Four 8's vs. One 15

I'm thinkin about doin 4 8" dd 1508's. I would be buying them from stratus in the classifieds section. What are the advantages and disadvantages of four 8's vs. one 15. The 15" i would prolly be gettin would be the rd alpha. The 8's will have more cone area, but the 15 should hit the lows with more authority. What would you guys do take the 8's or the 15?

Looks like the 4 8's are winning. Whats the advantage of the 4 8's? Is it gonna be louder if done right? And what about the low end?

4 8's have a slight advantage in surface area. The 15" has the potential to get a little deeper I suppose... Other than that, not much difference.

I'd go with the 4 8's. I would love to have 3-6 8's in my trunk. People usually go for the larger subs, be original.

I'm putting 3 RE 8s in my truck. I wanted to be a little different and space was an issue... I vote for four 8s!

Im thinking the 8's would be nice. I've heard of people still getting 8's to drop low and play well. And i think an 8" setup would be cool cuz i could do the box different ways. What size box should i run? Stratus said 2.5 @ 40hz
