If you want to do this and wiring it into your amp doesn't work, you might want to look into something like this: http://www.xoxide.com/sounaccat.html And a molex to car 12v adapter, like this: http://www.xpcgear.com/yad601.html Not 100% sure if it'll work, but it should. My car has 12v plug in the trunk. If yours does too, this would be extremely easy hook up.
