those speakers however are pretty nice however

i hate the way these stores only sell these skinny little speakers anymore

welll... your wrong the stand was $485. it can hold some serious weight. the glass is almost a 1/2 thick. maybe, if you seen a similar stand at walmart you might be able to get it for $200. see that amp on the bottow right? that's a emotiva xpa-2. that amp alone weighs over 100 lbs. no way you could use a cheap stand with all those heavy amps.
