Fosgate T5001bd

Hi I recently purchased a Rockford Fosgate T5001bd amp. Its the older silver 1ohm stable model. Upon receiving the amp I noticed is has 2 speaker outputs. I thought it was supposed to be a mono amp? Can anyone explain this to me? Thanks.

They are internally wired in parallel. Ie if you wired a single 2 ohm sub to each input the amp would be seeing a 1 ohm load

Thanks. So if im running a sub with a 1ohm load I should wire it straight to one of the outputs?
