forward or reverse

would you discourage mounting a sub with the basket out?
Nope, as long as you like the way the basket/motor structure looks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Some subs have very nice *****, and look quite good mounted in that way, heh.

Adire's DPL12 comes to mind as a driver built for that, with a finished matte black basket. Sharp looking sub.

But any will do.

Well that was sorta my point but i feared being riddiculed because i was interested in the basket looks of a sub, some baskets are sweet looking.

Somtimes there is a bad part about mounting them inverted or in a push pull with two subs is that some woofs motors structures have allot of pole vent noise "sounds like air whooshing" and can be annoying.

Have read allot of tech papers that if you have two subs in a push pull config that it cancels allot of 2nd order bs, I could never really hear the difference but that is why allot of prosound companies do the push pull thing.

Clamshell isobaric systems are nice...I was thinking about going isobaric with two e12a's, but figured the 3dB gain and subsequent power increase wouldn't be worth it, so I just sold the sub...those things eat gobs of power.
