what will this do at 12-14v at 1 ohm

I haven't heard back so I can't wait, bills are coming after buying that Z1a! I am running a single BatCap 8400 and two 16V agm racing batteries. I do not have them hooked up to the 300A alt, not yet anyways but instead I am using my BatCap charger to charge the bank. Actually I prefer to do this and not have a flinch of light dimming! BTW the batteries at full tilt are 18.3V and I recharge at around 16.5, maybe a tad less....Polo.

what alt did you go with? im having trouble deciding what alt to get ...i plan on using 4 16volt batts or 4 8volts wired to 16volt load....and i want a 300amp alt external reg and i plan on using a stepdown to the stock batt what alt do u recomend and does this setup sound good for my zap 4kw.............................free bump for a great amp and a great seller!!

Four bats for a 4kw sounds to be a bit of overkill but hey more the merryier, lOl. I went with an Iraggi Amputator series alt, does 235A at idle and 300+ at 2000rpms. Honestly instead of the stepdown which are expensive, go to Jegs racing and buy one of there V batteries which are a dual voltage 12/16V battery use this battery in parallel to the others. Take the 12V side of that one battery and run it up front to your 12V starting battery. Take the alt charging wire and run it back to the 16V bank, the external regulator will have to be set at around 19.2V as a max voltage to fully charge the batteries, especially if there AGM. I don't care for step downs as they waste power and take up space. The racing batteries just uses a + pole at a different plate position instead of an internal resisitor. sounds great ill try that vbatt and i know its a bit overkill but i want room to upgrade lol and as far as it being a "$kw" lol no doubt at 4500 new thats crazy but someone traded me the 4kw for some amps that i had like 550 in so i came out good by the way how much is that alt u got?...................bump it on up
