it's easy. puls the door ajar wire before unlock.. or is that dodge???
switch unlock to double pulse... first pulse will pulse the door ajar wire and wake the GEM. The wires do need to be diode isolated though... Atleast that is how I've always done it.

If it has factory alarm you also need to pulse the factory alarm disarm(diode isolate also) and hook factory alarm disarm wire to it.

There are actually numerous ways to do this but it seems as if the most common ways have been covered. I hate gem module based cars. Ford finally did away with them on the focus this year.

 
i am having the kid check for me. it is on ranger-forums. gonna sell him a avital 4100 and a 556u. and then where does one get diodes from and a resisters to do things? i had a pack of resistors but managed to loose them.directechs said if it doesnt have a the factory alarm it is a 5wire hookup.

 
yeah i know i dont need resistors but they would be nice to have some 1500s on hand incase someone comes at me with a chrysler. i guess i will order some or go and check out radio shak. i saw the directfax about it i was just wondering how hard it is to actually exicute. i thought i heard before that you needed a relay.
