im about to buy a 1996 for taurus station wagon but i noticed that the stock hu was not only circular, posing one problem, but its the same panel that the a/c controls are on.... is theyre something i can buy for this or am i going to have to get some custom work done? if so how much should i be looking at price wise for that?

they make a kit for your car. it replaces the stock oval radio area with another one

but make sure its the manual a/c controls and not the electric.

I actually loved doing these. you need to transfer the knobs off the stock a/c panel on to this new one

can find them online, (ebay, crutchfield, etc) or any local audio shop and Best Buy, CC, should have it.
