My aunt and uncle just picked up a aused 2007 for f-150 xlt with the 5.4.

Does anyone know if these have the immobilizers in the keys?

When they bought it from the dealership (subaru dealership) they only got 1 set of keys/clicker with it and they wanted to buy a couple of spares.

it has a 'transponder' key. there is a chip in there that allows it to start. so yes, it does. you need to have those keys made at the dealer. unless its just for doors/tailgate.

edit: if you have both original keys, this says you can get the key and have it cut and then program it yourself.

I have a 2003 Escape with a transponder in the key. Went up to a flea market and had the locksmith there cut and program the key for $70. Better than $300 from the dealership...
