cos he doesn't believe it will fit his car, he's pm'd me a ton about it, i never put it on my friends car simply measured the mounting holes and they were both identical! this will fit what i said it would..

Obviously the kid cluelessly bought it, and now he is selling it claiming it will do something that he hasnt tried.

22mountaineer, go pop ur hood and look at your alternator, you will see the black back plate with the same connection fitting as in my pictures, and your bolt holes will be identical to the ones in my picture...because this is for your mountaineer..ask crownvic the one i bought it off of.. this is a 4g alternator thats why it wouldn't fit my ranger because my ranger is a 3g

i bought it not knowing it was a 4g because he said in his post it would fit the 4.0 sohc so it never crossed my mind that it would be a 4g

So it looks the SOHC's in the rangers have a 3g and in the Explorer have 4g's.. Being SOHC (explorer) and 5ohs (Mounty) have the same alt this clears it up.

(To clear up anymore questions if they come about as to 3/4g)
