I dont think it's spyware. WHen I click on it I get sent to a microsoft site telling me " Purchase a Windows Genuine Advantage Kit Online The Windows Genuine Advantage Kit helps customers who received counterfeit copies of Windows convert their system to genuine Windows. if you know how I can get rid of it let me know. Thanks.

I finally bought one after using a pirated version for years... it's just easier, one less thing to thing about... besides XP is **** cheap these days

#2 WGA is an OPTION you can refuse, just read all the updates its giving you

im not sure if its changed in the last month or two but whatever

system.

Eighteen months after announcing the piracy check, Microsoft

faces controversy and backlash, including two lawsuits.

While Microsoft had told users the new software would gather

information related to piracy, some people became alarmed when they

discovered the software also was performing a daily check-in with

the company. Microsoft has since discontinued the daily check and

revised its disclosures.

But critics saw the undisclosed communications as a breach of

privacy and trust. Microsoft faces two federal lawsuits over the

software, both of which accuse the company of violating laws that

seek to combat spyware. The lawsuits seek class-action status.
