For those with navigation HU

I am planning to get a Navigation HU maybe this comming spring of 2008. Was wondering how you guys run the GPS attenta. Do you mount it to the metal on top of the car or can it goes inside the car? Is simliar to install a Sirus or xm radio attenta?

You probably can get by with it inside the vehicle, but you may lose signal with the slightest things. Your best bet is to mount it on the roof or some place where it has a clear view of the sky.

In my car there is a place under the dash right by the windshield on the drivers side. This is where the factory antenna is installed. Look at you car and see if there is a place like that. What yuor and model? I would assume a Camry.

yeah mine sits on my dash near the windshield depending on what kind of area you live in (rural area, city) you could get away with it staying inside the car....i live in a suburb, near a large city and never lose connection...
