Currently running Hertz HSK 165s off bridged EA 4200 getting 140 watts per side, Alpine CDA 9886, Infinity Reference rear coaxials off head unit, Pioneer premier 10 in custom box off Alpine MRP M500.
Decided to try bridged 4 channel for front comps and rear fill off HU and notice a couple things. First, didn't occur to me that the rear coaxes would end up running full range and I'd no longer be able to tweak them at the amp. Helps the sub blend in but it also means they distort before the rest of the system. What do people with this setup: Im assuming I should somehow disable the amplifier's crossover and run my HUs high pass filter on 80 HZ. I see no obvious way to just turn the crossover on the mid/high amp off, it only has 'low' and 'high' settings. if I put the amp high pass on the lowest possible filter setting then set the Head unit's filter at 80 HZ would this have the same effect?
