I've got a USAmps 1st gen competition amplifier here for sale. It's rated for 1200x1 @ 2 ohms, however I've heard of it delivering as high as 1600-1700 watts at 14.5 volts.
The amp is a barebones power house, with quad 8awg power hook ups for both the positive and negative. It has two RCA inputs, a gain control, and that's it. No crossover or anything; just raw power.
Functionally, the amp is in perfect condition. It's been pushed, and has never once faultered, cut out or exhibited any weird behaviour.
Cosmetically, I'd say it is in about 6.5-7 out of 10 shape. This is due purely to my negligence. The top of the amp is pretty much fine, might have one or two small scratches. The bottom of the amp has some pretty extensive damage to the finish. There is some blue paint transfer on the bottom of the amp from the body of my old car, and a few places where the anodization is scratched of scuffed off. If you mount the amp bottom down, none of this stuff is really visible. You could remove the internals of the amp and have the heat sink re-anodized, and it would look good as new.
Top quality amplifier. Drove an Eclipse Ti Pro 18" (SW9182) with no hiccups at all. If you plan on mounting bottom down, and/or you just want an amp that delivers a load of clean power, this is your ticket.
Top of amp:
Bottom of amp (before scuffing)
Amp installed
I'd like to get $400 plus shipping, but I will entertain any reasonable offer. This is a great amp at a great price, not to mention you can't buy them commercially anymore.
I don't have much history on this board, but there are several regulars here who can vouch for me, and I my sales history on Sound Illusions is impeccable. I can provide a list of references and positive feedback that is several miles long. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
