for ppl who wear contacts

The best thing to do is ask your optometrist how you are supposed to clean them. Every kind of contact is different. Generally, you are supposed to put them in your hand and rub them, or you can get the no rub solution, and you just have to spray them for 5 seconds on each side.

You definitely want to clean them, shit can build up on them, and lead to very bad eye infections.

There are soft contact and hard contacts. I have had soft conatact for 6 years. The first few months I had them I didn't rub them at night to clean them and I had lots of trouble with them. If you read the directions on the bottle of sloution you are susposed cup the palm of your hand with about 6 drops of solutution and rub the "protein" off that builds up on them through the day while you wear them. Do this on each side. I'm not sure what the exact directions on the bottle are but that is what I was instructed to do by my eye doctor. I know it says something similiar on the bottle. On the no rub solution it says to squeeze solution onto each side for 10-12 seconds, but that is just a waste. Hopefully this will help.

Yeah, what he said...

I have a very bad astigmatism, so I have to wear gas-permiable contacts (like putting plastic on your eye).

My eyes get dry a couple times a day, and most people think I am eye because the redness, I have to carry around a bottle of special eye drops for these contacts to help lubricate them.

The good thing is they are permanent and not disposable, but if you lose one (or step on it like I did), you have to fork up $100 for a replacement...

Are you sure it is the contacts causing this? The only time I ever had any problems with my contacts was when I caught a case of pink eye. The contact's edge felt like a razor sitting on my eye.

Talking to me?

If so, yes I am sure, they are gas permiable, HARD, and do not allow a lot of air flow to the eye. = redness/dryness
