Man, I've been looking for a job forever, but it is hard in this stupid little hick town. All the kids are out looking for a job and shit (well I guess iam kinda a kid still //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif but I had a few jobs before)

I was walking, and saw my friend, he stopped me and said "you need a job?" I was like **** yeah, and he said for me to go to Dairy Queen after school because someone just quit. Well I had my other friends tell me to do the same with every other place in town, but I went ahead and went up there.

I asked the chick behind the counter if they were hiring, and she said "Well...we are accepting applications" Which is usually a bad sign, so I asked if I could have one, and she went pulled one off a clipboard and went into her manager's office, and came out and whispered to me "Go sit over there and fill out the application and the manager will come out and talk to you"

So I did, and he came out and hired me on the spot, I start today :-D

I know, it's fast food, and it prolly pays minmum wage ($5.25 in this hick town) but atleast it's a job. It's good cuz imma work part time and do computer repair & some webdesign on the side. So iam pretty happy, maybe now I will be able to buy the camera I've been wanting, along with a new system hopefully //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Minumum wage deff blows. I worked at a Save-a-lot making 7.50( minumum wage up here) for like 3 years. Left that place and now work at an electrical contractor making 11 still not great but it works.

Minumum wage deff blows. I worked at a Save-a-lot making 7.50( minumum wage up here) for like 3 years. Left that place and now work at an electrical contractor making 11 still not great but it works.

Hell $7.50 is good money here. When we lived in FL. my dad got paid $18.75/hour to drive around all day. He was a pest control supervisor for Sears.

We have a Save-A-Lot here, that is where I could have got on, but it pays $5.15/hour which is below minimum wage //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif Plus I didn't want to go there at like 9pm and get off at 4am, which is wut they do here.

Lawl, I didn't know that, just thought it was a State Govt thing. I know that they do start you off at $5.15/hour at Save-A-Lot, my friend has worked there for a few years, and now he is making $5.50 as an assistant manager of some kind lol.

They are talkin about raising our minimum wage to $6.50, which is still lower than my last job, but a whole lot better than most jobs right now.

Iam home, yeah, only got to work 2 hours today //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Seems they are hiring way too many people, and because of that, they only give us a few hours //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Pretty easy work tho, I like it... I just gotta multi-task alot. They gave me a geigh trainee hat & shirt , only one color, everyone else (besides the 4 trainees working the same time as me) has better hats and shirts. Well I guess like 10-15 hours a week is better than not workin at all.
