I just ran into some one selling 2 brand new in the box 13" Focal subs. He wants $300 OBO for the pair said he paid $600 for them. I have never heard Focal subs and dont know anybody that has ever had any. Are they good? I just bought some new subs so I dont need them but I do have a Suburban that could use a system. Is this deal worth checking out?

Here they are.

Kind of a odd size, never seen a 13" sub.

also they are sq subs and not really ment to get really loud

I just sold a pair recently. Ran them for about a year in a 3 cube box ported at 32. While I agree with BenBen they are SQ subs I was also impressed with the SPL. They could've taken 800 and I ran them around 600 or so. They never missed a beat, got loud and sounded great doing it. I paid 250 for the pair and another 150 for the box from pro-rabbit. I've had a lot of subs but they were my 2nd favorite I ever ran. I kind of regret selling them. If I run across another pair for cheap I'm snagging them up. Your pics aren't working btw... (at least not for me)

I've never ran the subs but I absolutely love my Focal Components.

13" are not that uncommon actually I run an e.D. 13" and JL makes several in 13.5" Woofers.

There is a guy locally on craigs selling a 12" Focal for under 100 NIB and I've been thinking about buying it for a rainy day just because it's focal, priced right and I'm a SQ guy

I've only heard focal in a store.. They wanted like $900 for a pair in a box.. (****** box of course) Personally I don't know that much about them but I do know that they are expensive! You could probably flip them.. Try looking up retail price for the model ect.

Why would you flip those? Run 'em off 1K and be happy. You're not going to be blowing out skulls with your bass, but it's phenomenally clean bass. Buy 'em and keep 'em for when they don't make 'em any more. Then you can flip them if you still haven't tried them. But I have a feeling you'd love that pair of 13s if you gave them a proper chance. 300 for the pair is a steal.

Just to confirm, are those the Access?

Those are the Polyglass v1's. Even more expensive...

Focal makes great sounding products. That seems like a descent deal, if you can get them for below $250 for the pair and they work perfectly id grab them.
