Focal 165k2p vs Germanium

Although I still don't have a car in which to put these, I'm always on the lookout for when that day arrives. Anyway, I found out today that I can get the K2P's for about the same as the Germaniums, and I couldn't find many opinions of these against each other. The Germaniums have been my goal, but the price is such that I thought I should explore. I heard them on the wall at Sound Advice and they didn't really sound that great, but that's on a wall at Sound Advice. So any opinions are appreciated.

I really like the Focals, but haven't heard the Germaniums. The Germanium crossovers will be more flexible than the Focal ones, though.

Depending on install, I think the Germs are a better value due to a more forgiving tweet (up high at least) and the x-over is unmatched at it's price level.

Midbass is comparable , the Germ tweet is not as sharp and spitty, much more well rounded sounding and easier on the ears. K2P tweets are for me are unbearable.

Sorry, to clarify I heard the Focal's on the wall. My g/f just received her Germaniums a couple weeks ago (thanks 6spd!) and we've yet to put them in. Hopefully next week. I'm expecting to be blown away.

Long story on the Z . . . the short of it, it was in an accident last July and was "fixed" to the tune of 19k (took til January, and had to take it back 7 times after that for problems and it's still not right), so now it's been sitting in the garage since the end of April cuz I'm suing my insurance company for fixing it when they shouldn't have. So it has to sit in the garage til they either settle or the trial's over. This is why I have no car to put a system in yet. So, good times. I'll definitely post a review when we get these in, it's looking like sometime next week for the install. Definitely looking forward to hearing these.
