i heard the focals in a soundboard at my local audio dealer and i was very disappointed in them for $800 dollar speakers. maybe im just not an audiophile but i was hoping for better sound.

ya i figured that, and im hoping they werent running off of the headunit but thats another possibility.

Bostons for plug and play. Focal for potentially excellent sound quality and realism.

Focals are KNOWN to have problems with linearity of sound, their output is skewed in the higher midrange band. I think if you honestly want the most realistic response, Bostons are the obvious choice.

Unless you can give the Z6 enough power (200-500 wRMS EACH), go with a set of Boston Pro60's.
