Foam baffles affect SQ?

My question wasn't for using them as an enclosure.

The doors get wet as hell. I want to protect the speakers from the moisture. Should I cut holes in the bottom of them or just use nothing at all or...?

cut the backs out. Maybe try getting new weather stripping too.

Make a rear baffle ring out of this, much cheaper. Mainly just need to protect the top of the speaker and some of the sides, the bottom is unnecessary.

i do the same. i layer them to get a half-circle above the speaker opening. then i usually form with deadener overtop for a guaranteed lip.

If I already have the baffles would there be any harm in just cutting the bottom off of them?

I have a basic idea thanks to the gent above on how to do this but still not 100%.

How would I get this made? Would I make a half moon of the stuff over the speaker opening?
